Wash Deployment and Geo-helminth Ova Dispersion in Primary Schools in Akure North and Owo Local Government Areas, Ondo State, Nigeria

Soil-Transmitted Helminths (geo-helminths) are intestinal parasites causing human infections that soil-borne. The study assessed the level of soil contamination with geo-helminths ova and also evaluated compliance to WASH policies in some selected public private schools Akure North Owo Local Government Areas Ondo state, respectively. was conducted major districts two towns.
 Methods
 Soil samples were collected from three (3) different locations within each school premise: Toilet areas, classroom playground. Assessment sheets used evaluate data on indicators interventions. Modified Baemann’s culture technique extraction larvae sedimentation techniques concentration isolation eggs. significant difference between obtained using statistical analysis.
 Result
 Of 162 examined local government area, had highest number contaminated samples, n=116 (71.61%), while least, n =88 (54.32%). Four (4) geo-helminth species identified; Hookworm, Ascaris lumbricoides, Strongyloides stercoralis, Trichuris trichiura. most occurring seen hookworm (67.83%), stercoralis (11.25%) lumbricoides (7.56%). Likewise, Hookworm occurrence (51.67%), trichiura least (0.77%) area. Public higher parasite count 668/780 (85.64%), lesser count, 112 /780 (14.36%).
 Conclusion
 revealed poor deployment schools, children predisposed due high contamination, particularly schools.
